Activities

The main activities of WRA:

• Unification of members of the Association (manufacturers and importers) engaged in the production and sale of lubricants, in the management of production and consumption waste - activities for the collection, accumulation, disposal, burial, processing, storage, transportation of waste, as well as for the neutralization and disposal of third and fourth hazard level waste, assistance in the implementation of their activities for the management of production and consumption waste and reduction of environmental risks;
• Coordinating the activities of the members of the Association, assisting them by representing their interests and protecting their rights in state bodies authorities and local self-governments, in public associations and organizations, including international ones, as well as in relations with other business entities and legal entities;
• Assistance in the implementation of the EPR;
• Improving the quality of goods (works, services) provided by members of the Association in the field of waste management;
• Improving the quality of the level of production and consumption waste management by:
  1. implementation of professional informing the members of the Association and other interested parties on all aspects of activities in the field of waste management;
  2. preparation and dissemination among the members of the Association of information materials on legal, technical, economic, financial, environmental and other issues in the field of waste management, the formation of reviews of the state of the domestic and foreign waste management industry, the waste market and secondary material resources, problems, trends and modern achievements in this field;
  3. 3. increasing the level of professional training and education of personnel employed in the waste management industry;
  4. development of international cooperation in the field of waste management;
  5. 5. raising awareness of civil society institutions and the population about the importance and role of the waste management industry in ensuring sustainable socio-economic development of the country;
• formation of a positive image of the waste management industry, the prestige, and attractiveness of the professions employed in it.
• Ensuring compliance with recycling standards by concluding agreements with a solid waste management operator, a regional operator, an individual entrepreneur, a legal entity that recycles waste from the usage of products, and also submitting reports on the implementation of recycling standards on its own behalf.
