Waste Recycling Association - a voluntary association of legal entities and individual entrepreneurs; listed in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities on September 01, 2009.
The purpose of the WRA is:
- Assistance in the implementation by WRA members of activities to manage production and consumption waste and reduce environmental risks, including combining the efforts of participants in the waste management industry, other interested parties and coordinating their activities in solving common problems, as well as creating optimal conditions for the development of the national waste management industry with waste;
- Assistance with compliance to the EPR of the manufacturer and importer of goods, including packaging, subject to disposal after it lost their consumer properties;
- Coordinating the activities of the members of the Association, assisting them by representing their interests and protecting their rights in state bodies authorities and local self-governments, in public associations and organizations, including international ones, as well as in relations with other business entities and legal entities;
- Raise the quality of goods (works, services) produced by WRA members in the field of waste management;
- Raise the quality of the level of management of production and consumption waste by:
- preparation and distribution among members of the Association of information materials on legal, technical, economic, financial, environmental and other issues in the field of waste management, formation of reviews of the state of the domestic and foreign waste management industry, the waste market and secondary material resources, problems, trends and modern achievements in this area;
- increasing the level of professional training and education of personnel employed in the waste management industry;
- development of international cooperation in the field of waste management;
- raising awareness of civil society institutions and the population about the importance and role of the waste management industry in ensuring sustainable socio-economic development of the country;
- formation of a positive image of the waste management industry, the prestige and attractiveness of the professions employed in it.
